1. How can I access my card’s asset backed NFT, which we refer to as a DPOC (Digital Proof of Claim)?
1.a. You can access the DPOC by following these steps. Go to the card detail page of your card. Click the "View on Polygon" button on the top right corner of the transaction history table. When you click "View on Polygon," you will be directed to PolygonScan, where you can view the transaction history and the details of the DPOC, which mirrors the transaction history of card ownership in the vault.
2. What is Polygon?
2.a. Polygon is a blockchain, a specific type of public database that securely records digital transactions. In this public database, each transaction is linked to the ones before and after it, creating a secure and transparent chain of information. Polygon enhances this system by making these transactions more efficient, cost-effective, and secure.
3. What does mint mean?
3.a. Minting is when the cards are revealed into the original owner's showroom. It is the process of creating a new unique asset backed NFT, or DPOC, representing a specific card. Mints are recorded and stored securely on the blockchain, providing authenticity, traceability, and ownership verification.
4. What does transfer mean?
4.a. Transfer is when a card transacted from one user’s showroom to another. It involves changing the ownership of the card by transferring the DPOC from the seller's wallet to the buyer's wallet. The transfer transaction is recorded on the blockchain, guaranteeing a transparent and immutable record of the ownership transfer.
5. What does “burn” mean?
5.a. Burn is the action of retrieving cards from the marketplace. When a DPOC card is burned, it is removed from circulation by transferring the asset backed NFT to a special custodial burn wallet.
6. How do I get my polygon wallet?
6.a. At the moment, Arena Club takes care of the Polygon wallet for you to ensure a smooth and secure transaction process. Whenever you make a transaction, we handle all the details behind the scenes using our secure system. You don't need to do anything to get your wallet; we manage it on your behalf to ensure security and trust.
7. Why does the Polygon button sometimes say "Minting in Progress"?
7.a. The "Minting in Progress" message shows when we're in the process of recording your card on the blockchain, a task that needs careful timing due to network factors. Once the process is done, the button will change to "View on Polygon". We handle this process strategically to ensure everything runs smoothly.
8. Why isn't my card purchase or trade showing on the blockchain yet?
8.a. After a trade or purchase, it can take some time for the transaction to appear on the blockchain due to factors like network traffic and processing times. The transaction is officially completed when Stripe, our payment provider, verifies the payment. Our team is dedicated to ensuring each transaction successfully completes on the blockchain.
9. How long does it take for my card's image to appear on PolygonScan?
9.a. After revealing your card, it might take up to two weeks for the image to display on PolygonScan. This is because the card image is stored on IPFS - a secure and decentralized system for storing and accessing files - when the card is minted. PolygonScan, which is a separate platform, can take some time to retrieve and display the image. This delay is normal as part of blockchain's image processing.
